I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.

PEQUOT LAKES — Harold Joseph Thompson, of Pequot Lakes, died in Minneapolis on Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010, of complications from heart surgery. He was 75. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 29 at 11 a.m. with a time of conversation and reminiscing beginning at 10 a.m. at the Nisswa Community Center, 25628 Main St., Nisswa. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers. Arrangements by Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd.
Louis Arnold Thompson, 91, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, in Alexandria, Ky. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010, at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, Minn. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services. Louis will be interred at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls, Minn. Louis was born Dec. 18, 1919, in Cottonwood, Minn. He served his country during World War II in the Pacific Theatre. He retired from Bang Printing. Louis loved to play cards.
LITTLE FALLS - Ruth Iffert, age 91, a resident of the Lutheran Care Center in Little Falls, Minn., passed away Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010. Arrangements are pending with Emblom-Brenny Funeral Service of Little Falls, Minn.
CLARKFIELD - Max Buschmann, age 82, of Clarkfield, formerly of Montevideo, died early Monday morning, Dec. 6, 2010, at the Clarkfield Care Center. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Montevideo with military honors performed outside the church by the Montevideo American Legion Honor Guard immediately following the service. Wing-Bain Funeral Home of Montevideo in charge of arrangements for Mr. Max Buschmann.
RANDALL - Ina Kuoksa, of Randall, passed away Dec. 5, 2010, at her home. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Randall. Harriet M. Sollid passed away on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, at the age of 91, at home in Brainerd surrounded by her family. Harriet was born April 26, 1919, in Absorka, Mont., to August and Bertha (McKelvey) Brey. She was married Dec. 29, 1937, in Spokane, Wash., to Ole Sollid. Harriet was a physical therapist working at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd.
CUSHING - Gary Donald Deppa, 59, of Cushing, passed away Dec. 4, 2010. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at Lincoln Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Jim Brown officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorial preferred to Scandia Valley First Responders and Fire Department.

CROSBY - Leo Martin Peppersack, 90, Crosby, died Dec. 4, 2010, at St. Gabriel's Hospital, Little Falls. He was born March 3, 1920, in Struble, Iowa, to John and Josephine (Bueltel) Peppersack. He was a WW II Army veteran. He was retired from Ford Motor Company with 29 years of service. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Betty; one daughter, Diane Weber, Deerwood; and one brother, Arthur Peppersack of Cottonwood.
