I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.

WAHPETON, N.D. - Patricia Olson, 81, Wahpeton, N.D., died Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, at her home under the care of Riveredge Hospice. The funeral Mass will be 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 3 at St. John's Catholic Church, Wahpeton, with the Rev. Dale Lagodinski as Celebrant. Visitation will be Thursday, from 5-8 p.m. with Foresters and Christian Mothers Rosary at 4 p.m. and a 7 p.m. Prayer Vigil, all at St. John's Catholic Church and one hour before the service on Friday. Vertin-Munson Funeral Home, Wahpeton, is in charge of arrangements.
PEQUOT LAKES - CeAnna Harrell, infant daughter of Michael Harrell and Amanda Jacobs, of Pequot Lakes, died on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010. Services will be Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Pequot Lakes with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will be at Pequot City Cemetery.
BUFFALO - Stanley Martin Rodeski, 84, of Buffalo, Minn., formerly of Little Falls, passed away Nov. 29, 2010, at Park View Care Center in Buffalo with his family by his side. Mass of Christian Burial will be at noon on Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Little Falls, Minn., with Father Nicholas Landsberger officiating.
NISSWA - Harriet Nordby, 76, of Nisswa, died on Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, in Brainerd. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Nisswa. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
PEQUOT LAKES - Terri L. Monroe, 59, of Pequot Lakes, entered into heaven on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, wife, stepmother and grandmother. A memorial service honoring her life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at Grace United Methodist Church, Pequot Lakes, with Pastor Dianne Ciesluk officiating.
CROSSLAKE - Diane White, 57, of Crosslake, died on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010. Visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, from 5-7 p.m. at Brenny Funeral Chapel of Crosslake. Services for Diane will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010, at Crosslake Lutheran Church with visitation one hour prior. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel of Crosslake.
COEUR d'ALENE, Idaho - Thomas L. Hickerson, age 72, passed away at home in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Sunday, Nov. 14, 2010, after a short illness. He was born in Brainerd, Minn., Jan. 31, 1938, of parents Lester and Kathleen (Bliss) Hickerson. He had one sibling, his sister, Joan Tomlinson, who passed away in April of this year in Florida. Tom grew up in the lakes region near Brainerd. He attended Catholic and public schools here, followed by four years of military duty in the U.S. Air Force, 1958-1962.
BAXTER - Arnold Fries, 87, of Baxter, died on Monday, Nov. 29, 2010. Arrangements are pending with Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
LONGVILLE - Dwain DeGarmo, 76, of Longville, died on Sunday, Nov. 28, 2010. Arrangements are pending with Brenny Funeral Chapel of Pequot Lakes.
BAXTER - Eugene A. "Bud" Horigan, age 79, of Baxter, died at his home Friday, Nov. 26, 2010. He was born in Luverne, Minn., Jan. 20, 1931, to Lyle F. and Frances (Kohn) Horrigan. He married Mildred Gave in Las Vegas on March 27, 1961. Bud served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans. He was employed as a truck driver for the Brainerd School District for 28 years.
