Baxter police THEFT — A report at 8:15 p.m. Thursday of two males on bikes leaving Dunhams, 14136 Baxter Drive, and the security alarms went off. Males immediately ran from the store. Officer located suspects and they were cited for shoplifting. Brainerd police ARREST — A 16-year-old teen was arrested at 9:41 p.m. Thursday for fifth-degree domestic assault and disorderly conduct at the Boys Port Group Home, 1406 Laurel St.

CAREER ■ Sinotte joins The Woods Banquet and Event Center Megan Sinotte joined The Woods Banquet & Event Center as corporate event and wedding planner. Sinotte has returned to central Minnesota after spending several years in Nashville, Tennessee, and the Twin Cities. Most recently she was the corporate event planner for a resort on the North Shore of Lake Superior. The Woods, is owned by Luke and Terri Ebnet, who purchased the former Chap and Timbermist on County Highway 3 north of Brainerd.

Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union (MMFCU) through a partnership with Paper Storm Secure Document Shredding, is offering free community-wide Shred Days at all MMFCU locations. The idea is keep the wrong person from finding valuable identifying data. Last year, more than 10,000 pounds of documents were shredded during MMFCU’s Shred Days. Brainerd firefighters keeping busy The Brainerd Fire Department has been busy fighting grass fires and other calls in the past few days. On Friday morning, firefighters were called to Gregory Park to a fire in the male restroom. One engine and a half dozen firefighters responded to a fire in the plastic fire bin. About $7,000 of damages was done to the restrooms.
