Children exchanged the collected plastic eggs for a candy bag provided by the Rotary Club and Sullivan Candy & Supply. Kelly Humphrey / Brainerd Dispatch - Gallery and Video --- --- --- --- ---

As churchgoers leave in silence at the end of a Good Friday service at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd they drop a nail into a metal pail. At the beginning of the service, worshipers were encouraged to take a nail and think of it as representing "our sins," which Jesus died for on the cross. The sound of the nails dropping into the bucket served as a reminder of the nails being pounded into Jesus' hands and feet. Kelly Humphrey / Brainerd Dispatch
