Hey there Tech Savvy fans! This week I get to share with you a device that I've had for a little while now and it's insanely awesome because it combines two of my favorite pastimes: tech and camping. I love camping. When I was growing up my family camped for a good portion of the summer, and I mean real camping - in tents through wind and rain and all the elements, we were right there. Eventually we upgraded to a recreational vehicle for longer road trips but tent camping always has, and always will be, very special to me.
Hey there, Tech Savvy fans! This week we get to take a look at a fun little device courtesy of our friends at Verizon Wireless. I'm always excited when I get a box from Verizon because they always have some really fun things to test out - some of my favorite gear and devices have come from the goody boxes that Verizon has sent and this one was another winner - the RE camera by HTC. Over the past couple of years HTC has reinvested in itself and has worked hard to bring their devices and gear to the forefront of the smart device world.
Hey there, Tech Savvy fans! As promised this week we get to take an exclusive sneak peek at a product that is sure to change your life. I sound pretty confident about that don't I? Let me show you why. A few months back I wrote about my disagreement with a blog that said restaurants should consider providing iPads to patrons with young children to keep them occupied and reduce the "distraction" at the restaurant. I tore it down.
Hey there, Tech, Savvy fans! I've had a few questions, comments and concerns pop up this past week and I thought it would be good timing to share those with you and how to handle them. With the rapid fire tech changes, improvements and products, it's easy to become lost in how to manage updates or what to do when you have an issue. Sometimes there are easy solutions that require minimal effort apart from knowing where to start, and others require specific step by step processes that will not fix the issue unless they are followed explicitly. Case study number one.
Hey there, Tech Savvy fans! This week I want to take you on a walk down memory lane and how that is affecting you today.
Hey there, Tech Savvy fans! I was fortunate enough to have a topic for this week pop up in a conversation I had with my wife the other night. She was working on a project and had received some information from another person. She needed to print the attachment that came in an email so she could fill out the information and send it back. The problem was the attachment was in a format she didn't recognize and she wasn't able to open it on her iPad or Android phone. She asked me to take a look at it and I was able to identify the issue almost immediately.
Hey there, Tech Savvy fans! I am really excited to share with you a bit of tech that I was able to experience first hand in a real world situation a week ago at The Big Event fundraiser for the Brainerd Public School Foundation. It was my first time attending the BPSF Big Event. I was out of town last year and if you have not gone, make sure you put it on your calendar for next year. It was a ton of fun, great food, and a great cause.
Hey there, Tech Savvy fans! I was asked this in passing the other day, and I get a number of comments on this subject, so I thought it would nice to touch on this often confusing item: What devices will work with my accessories and vice versa? Many of the accessories and devices you see are made by well known companies and are pitched for their devices - Apple, Samsung, Motorola are some that instantly come to mind. They offer a wide range of accessories: headphones, cases, speakers, etc., that are branded for their smartphones and tablets.
Hey there, Tech Savvy fans! I'm excited this week to bring you, I think, the farthest shipped product I've had the privilege to review thus far. If you don't count manufacturing destinations, like devices made in other countries, we've looked at products from across the United States - from Florida to California we've spanned America.
Hey there, Tech Savvy fans! I hope you're enjoying this weather - I know I sure am (not)! But I suppose that is the price we pay for living in Minnesota. On the other hand, we'll have some nice thick ice for fishing. I am always excited to see the shortest day of the year pass, unfortunately the days still seem long. I mean really long.
