Email

Fire conditions are expected to be approaching critical values Friday afternoon across much of northern Minnesota, the National Weather Service in Duluth reported.

Friday’s high temperature is expected to flirt with the 90 degree mark. The weather service is calling for a high of 88 degrees with a southern breeze gusting as high as 30 mph.

Gusty winds settled across the area Thursday afternoon as rain skirted north of Brainerd, leaving dry conditions in the lakes area.
