A blizzard swept across central and northern Minnnesota today. Snowfall in Brainerd was about four feet. School and many businesses were closed.

On Jan. 28 and 29, 150 sled-dog racing teams will travel to Brainerd to compete in the "Heartland Rendezvous." Al Hendrick of Brainerd, one of the men behind the event, says the race has the potential of being the largest race in the state."
