Bees nip Carlos
AMATEUR BASEBALL
CARLOS - The Brainerd Bees scored three runs in the top of the ninth to nip Carlos 4-3 in exhibition amateur baseball Wednesday.

Thomas Fairbanks tripled before a walk and a hit batter, sandwiched around a strikeout, loaded the bases. Fairbanks stole home on the front end of a double steal, two wild pitches scored the third run and a single by Joel Martin scored the winning run.

Joel Martin finished 4-for-5 and Tim Martin was 2-4 with a walk.

Tim Martin pitched a complete game to get the win. He allowed two earned runs and seven hits, struck out eight and walked three.
