Seth Vagts went 2-3 with three stolen bases in Brainerd’s 5-3 loss to Sauk Rapids Tuesday, July 2.
Brainerd had a 3-0 lead after three innings, but a four-run fifth inning by Sauk Rapids erased that edge.
Colby Watland went 1-3 with an RBI double in Brainerd’s three-run third inning. Ben Jones went 1-2 with an RBI single. Konnor Wicklund went 1-2 with a double.
Michael Laber pitched 3 1/3 innings. He allowed one run and struck out two. Colin Kleffman struck out four in his 2 2/3 innings of relief giving up four runs, none of them earned.
