Essentia Health welcomes Amber Smith to urgent care team

The Essentia Health St. Joseph’s-Baxter Clinic is proud to welcome advanced practice registered nurse and certified nurse practitioner Amber Smith to the urgent care team. She has spent the last 11 years working for Essentia as a registered nurse.

“I’ve loved caring for our community over the last decade,” said Smith. “I’m excited to continue my career with the organization and my coworkers who have become a second family to me.”

Smith received her education from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri, and is certified in family practice.

“I think most people want to be heard and understood and treated with respect,” said Smith. “This is something that is of the utmost importance to me, and I plan to do that with every patient I encounter.”
