It may still feel like an early fall weekend, with the sound of mowers more likely than snowblowers this year, making for a nice elongated autumn, but the holiday shopping season is just around the corner.

The Bon-Ton Stores, which includes Herberger's, announced they will be opening their doors at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day with what it describes as its biggest after Thanksgiving sale with more than 600 door busters, coupons and deals.

"The first 200 people at the door in every store will receive a gift card with values ranging from $5 up to $500 with a guaranteed $500 winner at every store," Bon-Ton reported. For those who don't want to shop on Thanksgiving, the in-store doorbusters are good through 3 p.m. Nov. 27. Online door busters will be available at www.bonton.com/blackfriday starting at 6 a.m. Tuesday Nov. 24. Herberger's and its sister stores will offer free online shipping through Nov. 28. Doorbusters will be available while supplies last, the company reported.

"Customers will find designer brands and extraordinary values throughout their shopping experience whether they are in our stores or shopping online."
