A new Jiffy Lube service center is opening Monday in Baxter.

Jiffy Lube reports it is expanding in Minnesota and opening facilities in Baxter and Rochester. The Baxter Jiffy Lube service center, 13442 Elmwood Drive south of Costco, is open Monday through Saturday and no appointments are necessary.

Jiffy Lube Signature Service Oil Change includes checking, changing, inspecting, flushing, filling and cleaning essential systems and components. Customers will also receive free top-offs on motor oil with the same type of oil purchased and any or all of the five vital fluids between service visits (up to a maximum of two quarts per fluid), Jiffy Lube reported in a news release.

Jiffy Lube will have a four-bay facility and offer multiple services for vehicles, including air conditioning, battery testing and replacement, brake service, to engine diagnostics and tire

rotation service to windshield wiper services.

Jiffy Lube International Inc. has with more than 2,000 franchised service centers in North

America, and reports it serves about 20 million customers annually. In 1979, Jiffy Lube reported it established the first drive-thru service bay to provide fast professional service for vehicles. Headquartered in Houston, Jiffy Lube is a wholly owned, indirect subsidiary of Shell Oil Company.

Lakes Area Human Resource Association is hosting an informational event with guest speaker Adam Rees, president of Essentia Health Central, for Crow Wing Energized History and the 2014 Health Survey results. Rees spent 25 years in various Mayo Clinic leadership assignments. He has degrees in architectural engineering, psychology, and a master of business administration in marketing and finance.

"This session will provide a background of Crow Wing Energized," LAHRA reported noting Crow Wing Energized's mission for a united approach to improve health and wellness in the community by making healthy choices essential. Four key goal groups include workplace wellness, community connections, healthy choices and mental fitness.

The LAHRA event will focus on:

1. How to become involved with Crow Wing Energized and support best practices that will improve the health and wellness of our community.

2. How to promote low or no cost evidence based resources that Crow Wing Energized has developed.

3. The best practices for implementing a workplace wellness program.

The meeting is 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Prairie Bay, 15115 Edgewood Drive, Baxter.

Ruttger's Bay Lake Resort in Deerwood recently announced the expansion of a program allowing children to stay and eat for free when vacationing at the resort with their families. The resort expanded the program to include children 17 and younger. While in the past the program was limited to select weeks, Ruttger's reports it now will span most of the summer. For both the Kids Stay and Eat and Lodging Only packages, there is a limit of one free child per paying adult.

Ruttger's reports the Kids Stay and Eat Free program includes free lodging, breakfast and dinner daily, as well as golf on Alec's Nine, Kids' Kamp activities and full use of the resort pools,

beaches, marina, and more.
