The Brainerd Lakes Area Economic Development Corp. announced that it added four new members to its board of directors, replacing four directors who provided invaluable direction to the organization.
At its annual meeting earlier this month, BLAEDC honored outgoing directors Bruce Buxton, Tom Anderson, Chuck Albrecht and Mark Ronnei, while welcoming new directors Pam O'Rourke, Tom Haglin, Mike Larson and Scott Kuehl, all of whom will be serving three-year terms.
Buxton, Anderson and Albrecht also received BLAEDC's Eagle Award as Directors Emeritus.
Pam O'Rourke is senior vice president of Integrated Retirement Initiatives in Baxter. She said she hopes to provide insight and support for BLAEDC's initiatives, especially its focus on workforce development through the new Key Recruitment Program.
"I believe that an ongoing focus on economic development is critical to the future of the Brainerd Lakes Area," O'Rourke said. "BLAEDC has been a positive force in our community since its inception and continues to find new and creative ways to support local businesses and grow jobs."
