Ronnei joins Essentia Health board of directors
Essentia Health announced the recent addition of Mark Ronnei to the board of directors, leading Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd and surrounding clinics.
"We value our board members throughout Essentia," said Adam Rees, president of Essentia Health-Central, in a news release. "To achieve our mission 'of making a healthy difference in people's lives,' we seek out community leaders to guide the decisions we make."

Mark Ronnei is a long-time community member bringing diverse perspectives and experiences with a combined 60 years of board-level experience in a number of community organizations and private companies. As both a civic and business leader, serving Grand View Lodge for the past 39 years, Ronnei and his wife Pat are connected to Essentia personally and professionally. Pat Ronnei is a registered nurse at St. Joseph's and is part of the intensive care unit team. Mark Ronnei sees firsthand the impacts health care has on the 250 year-round employees and their families at Grand View, the release stated.
"My cancer was discovered at St Joseph's 28 years ago, and I hope I can give back in some small way," Ronnei explained in the release. "I think that the health of our community is closely tied to the health care delivery systems in a community. Essentia has a great reputation and I want to first learn about the issues and then contribute where I can."
"When recruiting new board members, we look for candidates that complement our existing members' strengths to help us live up to our mission to make a healthy difference in people's lives in the Brainerd Lakes area," explained Chuck Albrecht, Essentia Health-Central Board chair, in the release. 3 join EXIT Lakes Realty Premier
Brent Dahl, Chad Rasinski and Jenna Olson recently joined EXIT Lakes Realty Premier.
Dahl is second-generation Realtor and received a marketing degree at Monmouth College. He has been active for over 25 years in real estate and specializes in marketing and selling new and existing homes.
Rasinski is a native of the Brainerd lakes area, graduating from Brainerd High School and Central Lakes College. His experiences in tending to the needs and wants of his clients extends for 14 years in the automotive industry as a finance manager, including the largest dealership in North Dakota, a local dealership and most recently, the largest volume dealership in east central Minnesota. He and his family, consisting of his newlywed bride Sarah, eldest son Skylar, Ryan, daughter Teagan and youngest boy Blayne enjoy time on area lakes as well as the Paul Bunyan Trail and many hours participating in BAHA.
An avid outdoors enthusiast, Olson, of Crosby, grew up on a large hobby farm instilling a strong work ethic and appreciation for community. Olson has been working in the customer service industry for the past 10 years and actively seeks to ensure a superior level of customer satisfaction.

Schwendeman group named one of America's top 1,000 real estate professional teams
BAXTER-The Chad Schwendeman Real Estate Group of EXIT Lakes Realty Premier was named one of America's top real estate professional teams by REAL Trends, as advertised in The Wall Street Journal.
Schwendeman's team is now a member of "The Thousand Top Real Estate Professionals," a prestigious national awards ranking sponsored annually by REAL Trends and advertised in The Wall Street Journal. Schwendeman is now ranked in the top one-half of 1 percent of the more than 1.25 million Realtors nationwide.

Grand View Lodge wins at 2017 Minnesota Bride Magazine's Best of Awards
Minnesota Bride Magazine recognized Grand View Lodge at the 2017 Minnesota Bride Magazine's Best of Awards as the "Best Minnesota Destination Venue." Over 10,000 readers voted for the publication's Best of 2017 list, which featured the year's best wedding vendors, from dressmakers to custom cakes. Grand View Lodge, the only nominee from the Brainerd lakes area, also received a nomination for "Best Outdoor Venue."

Boyer joins Mid-Minnesota as Pequot Lakes branch manager
Dianna Boyer recently joined Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union as Pequot Lakes branch manager. She will be working with Alex Hohlfeld, Brenda Peterson, Brittany Norman and Katie Montoya.
Boyer brings over 25 years of credit union experience to the community, having worked in a variety of positions in the financial industry including teller, mortgage supervisor and business development director.
"I look forward to serving Pequot Lakes and the surrounding community with their financial needs," Boyer said in a news release. "I especially look forward to working with a team of professionals that provide MMFCU members exceptional financial services in such a wonderful community."
Boyer resides with her husband, Shane, on a horse farm near Brainerd where she trains and boards horses as well as gives lessons. Her other passions include anything outdoors, especially hunting and fishing.
