Madden's on Gull Lake reports it is investing more than $1.6 million into the resort property this winter.
Renovations began in November of 2016. Madden's will reopen for its 88th season on April 28, 2017, and will offer guests more than 110 renovated guest rooms. In addition, Wilson Bay will be getting a new 2,300-square-foot beach house on the resort's west shoreline.
"Last year, we invested more than $13 million back into the property due to storm damages, so we are continuing to update guest rooms to match the resort updates to ensure we're providing the best experience possible for guests," said Abbey Pieper, vice president of Madden's on Gull Lake, in a news release adding this year's renovations are providing an up-to-date, stylish and fresh look to many of the resort's accommodations and guest spaces.
Wilson Bay continues its updates with an addition of a new beach house in 2017. The 2,300 square-foot beach house, located on the west shoreline of the resort's 1,000-plus acre property, will include four bedrooms, a full kitchen, dining room, living room that includes a gas fireplace, a screen porch with a wood fireplace, a lakeside patio and a private dock. The house will be adjacent to the large beach. The beach house construction makes up $450,000 of the total construction investment.
On the east shoreline overlooking Steamboat Bay, Jim Madden's house is getting a full renovation and will be available for rental in May. The five bedroom, 5.5 bath home features a full kitchen, dining area, living room with fireplace, game and TV room with pool table, lakeside deck, private beach with dock and is close to the Pine Beach East first tee.
