Pequot men to attend Angus convention

Danny L. Wiese and Richard E. Wiese, both of Pequot Lakes, have been elected as a delegate and alternate delegate, respectively, to the 131st Annual American Angus Association®Convention of Delegates, Nov. 6 at the KCI Expo Center in Kansas City, Missouri, reports Bryce Schumann, CEO of the American Angus Association.

Danny Wiese, a member of the American Angus Association with headquarters in Saint Joseph, Mo., is one of 317 Angus breeders who have been elected by fellow members in their state to serve as a representative at the annual meeting.

Richard Wiese, a member of the American Angus Association with headquarters in Saint Joseph, Missouri, is one of 304 Angus breeders who have been elected by fellow members to serve as an alternate state representative to the annual meeting.

Representing 42 states, District of Columbia and Canada, the delegates will participate in the business meeting and elect new officers and five directors to the American Angus Association board.

The annual meeting will take place in conjunction with the 2014 Angus Means Business National Convention and Trade Show, Nov. 4-6, in Kansas City, Mo. The American Angus Association is the nation's largest beef breed organization, serving nearly 25,000 members across the United States, Canada and several other countries.
