LITTLE FALLS — Pine Grove Zoo will observe the Fourth of July with its annual enrichment-themed event.
Visitors can see the holiday event 1-3 p.m. with paid admission to the Little Falls attraction and watch how the zookeepers enhance the quality of animal care by providing a stimulating environment, a news release stated.
The staff keeps the animals mentally stimulated and interested by distributing toys, special food items, perfumes, changing their exhibits and more, according to the release, which promotes natural behaviors such as foraging and hunting for the animals.
Pine Grove Zoo’s stated mission is to promote environmental conservation and aid in the creation of a superior zoological park through fundraising and educational activities.
