Special Projects Editor/Reporter

Celeste Edenloff is the special projects editor and a reporter for the Alexandria Echo Press. She has lived in the Alexandria Lakes Area since 1997. She first worked for the Echo Press as a reporter from 1999 to 2011, and returned in 2016 to once again report on the community she calls home.

Celeste works on special projects such as the Veterans Salute magazine, Impact magazine, along with other numerous special projects produced by the Echo Press. She also covers the Douglas County Board and Alexandria School Board, as well as reports on many other area happenings and topics.

Celeste and her husband, Al, enjoy running and the two of them have participated in hundreds of races covering the 5K, 10K, 10-mile and half-marathon distances.

This is the first time the Pope County Sheriff's Office has experienced the loss of a deputy in the line of duty, the sheriff said Friday in a news conference prior to the visitation for his fallen deputy.
Becky Sletto of Alexandria, Minnesota, lost 6 units of blood after severing her femoral vein. A bystander, who happened to be a nurse, is credited for saving her life.
A woman, who was also in the camper, was taken to the hospital.
Rick Wyffels is accused of purchasing $65,724 worth of items that are missing from the police department, according to court documents.
Richard Wyffels, 57, was taken into custody Friday, April 8, according to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety. He is facing felony charges following a year-long investigation into alleged financial crimes.
