Brainerd Area Coalition for Peace and Brainerd Lakers United for the Environment will march in a joint parade unit for the Brainerd Fourth of July parade, Wednesday, July 4.
The staging area for the Brainerd Fourth of July parade is on Mississippi Parkway. Mississippi Parkway is located behind Central Lakes College, 501 West College Drive, Brainerd. A sign will be posted for the staging area.
BACP/BLUE parade unit participants may enter the staging area between noon and 3 p.m. At 3 p.m., the roads to the staging area will be closed. Extra vehicles may be parked in the parking lot near the staging area.
The Brainerd Fourth of July parade begins at 4 p.m. The parade route is about 1.25 miles. A map of the parade route and staging area can be found at www.brainerdpeace.org/ParadeRoute2016 .
The staging area number assigned to the BACP/BLUE parade unit will be posted on the BACP and BLUE websites ( www.brainerdpeace.org and www.brainerdblue.org ). The number for the BACP/BLUE parade unit will also be available at the check-in point to the staging area. The number will be marked on the street or parking area where the BACP/BLUE parade unit is set up.
