Dwan Beardmore was recently named the Brainerd Noon Sertoma Club’s Sertoman of the Year.
Her nomination letter read: “What a year it has been! The club has seen many changes in the past 12 months, including moving to a new storage unit, ending the long Pipe & Drape run, and of course the recent pandemic challenges. We also spent a lot of time reorganizing the Winter Wonderland as we began a new chapter with new leaders.
“At the center of this, was Dwan Beardmore.
“... About six years ago, Dwan made the move to Brainerd, and it did not take her long to discover the Brainerd Noon Sertoma Club. She joined the club, and right away earned the Rookie of the Year Award in 2015. She is seen volunteering in many areas within the club, but is best associated with her involvement with the Pipe & Drape Program, and of course the Winter Wonderland. After hearing about her visions for the club, I am very excited to watch as she puts her new ideas into action for the Winter Wonderland and the community.”
