Breezy Point Area Women's Club donates to women's center

BREEZY POINT-Members of the Breezy Point Area Women's Club met Nov. 8 at the Pelican Lake Conservation Club.

In the spirit of the upcoming holiday season, they crafted tray favors for care centers located in Pine River, Pequot Lakes and Crosslake.

A number of items were collected and donated for women and children who may find themselves in need. Mary Savage, house manager of Mid-Minnesota Women's Center, filled her van to the top, from front to back with items collected and donated by women's club members, a news release stated. In addition, a cash donation was presented by Jane Gustafson, president, and Linda Johnson, treasurer.

Members also enjoyed a fashion show presented by Tara, proprietor of Leslie's clothing, Pequot Lakes.
