GSS-Bethany Auxiliary to meet

GSS-Bethany Auxiliary will meet 10 a.m. Thursday, June 7, in the Bethany Community Room, 804 Wright St., Brainerd.

Special guests include Jessie Ernster, Operation Sandwich, and Lisa Huseth and Karyn Flesch, Bethany Social Services Department. Members are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item for the Blessing Box.

Bethany Gift Shop volunteers will meet 9:30 a.m. in the same room. The Good Sam Bowl Steering Committee meets 11 a.m. in the same room. Lunch provided.

Brainerd Elks Lodge breakfast planned

The public is invited to attend a community breakfast 8 a.m.-noon Sunday, June 3, at the Brainerd Elks Lodge, 215 S. Ninth St.

Order from the menu. All proceeds go to support Elks programs.

International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers will meet 6 p.m. Monday, June 4.

The special dinner for Friday, June 8, will be Bob Harting's BBQ ribs for $11. Walleye dinner is also available for $11. Serving begins at 5 p.m.

Parkinson's Disease Support Group monthly meeting

BAXTER—The Parkinson's Disease Support Group will meet 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 7, in the dining room at Edgewood Vista, 14211 Firewood Drive, Baxter.

There will be a demonstration by a yoga instructor of chair yoga.

This group has met for 13 years sharing information, support and concerns. Caregivers also welcome.

Crosslake Area Historical Society annual meeting set June 5

CROSSLAKE—An annual membership meeting of the Crosslake Area Historical Society will occur, according to the by-laws of the society requiring such a meeting each year.

The annual meeting is 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at the Historic Log Village.

All members in good standing are encouraged to attend this meeting. A financial report will be presented by the treasurer of the board and the minutes of the previous annual meeting will be read. An election of the board of directors is accomplished. All members possessing a current membership are eligible to vote in this election. The board of directors of the historical society meet monthly and make important decisions concerning the organization.

The board is seeking new, younger, enthusiastic members to join the board of directors of the Crosslake Area Historical Society.

The current officers of the board are President Tom White, Vice President Mary Kate Williams, Treasurer Dorothy Anderson and Secretary Kathy Brodin.

Senior dances will be 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at the Wadena VFW with music by Cathy Erickson; 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, at the Brainerd Blue Room with music by Country Ramblers; and 2 p.m. Thursday, June 7, at the Little Falls Senior Center with music by Social Security Xpress.

WHS class of 1955 to meet

The Washington High School class of 1955, spouses and friends will meet for lunch at 11 a.m. Monday at Northwind Grille.
