The Center's Morning Club to meet
The Center's Morning Club will meet 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at The Center, 803 Kingwood St., Brainerd.
Speaker will be Joey Halvorson. Join us as she shares her journey as a photographer from her youth to her current work with area publications.
There will be no meetings on Dec. 19 or 26. Meetings will resume in January.

Hackensack American Legion Auxiliary to serve breakfast
HACKENSACK-Hackensack American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 202 will serve breakfast from 8:30-11:30 am. Dec. 16, at the Club.
Menu includes choice of pancakes, bacon and eggs or eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast. Both include juice and coffee for $6. The proceeds go to support youth scholarships.
Brainerd Area Garden Club meeting planned
The Brainerd Area Garden Club will meet noon Friday, Dec. 14, at the Northland Arboretum.
It will be a Christmas potluck luncheon. Bring a wrapped gift for exchange ($5).
All board members will be hostesses.

Pinetree Patchworkers Quilt Club has meeting planned for Monday
BAXTER-The Pinetree Patchworkers Quilt Club will meet 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, for the annual Christmas party at Brenny's Funeral Chapel, 7348 Excelsior Road, Baxter.
Members are asked to bring a handmade holiday themed show-and-tell item, something constructed in a workshop this past year or something made to give as a gift. A collection will be taken for the Salvation Army. The amount of money collected will be matched by Fleet Farm.
A short business meeting will precede the party.

The Xi Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa will meet at 4:15 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, at Prairie Bay. The altruism projects are Salvation Army Red Kettle donations and the WJJY Radiothon to End Child Abuse pledge. Members are asked to bring a craft or food for the altruism sale.
