Class of 1966 will meet 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 12, at Boulder Tap House in Baxter.
Upcoming VFW events
The VFW Post No. 1647 and Auxiliary regular meetings will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, at the Post.
The St. Patrick's Day Corned Beef dinner will be served from noon until gone Saturday, March 16, at the VFW. Cost: $8.
The March VFW Sunday breakfast will be from 8 a.m. to noon March 17. Cost: $8.
Alpha Chapter OES No. 23 to meet
Alpha Chapter OES No. 23 will meet 7 p.m. Monday, March 11, at the Masonic Hall.
There will be an election of officers.
Supper will be 5:30 p.m. at the Northwind Grille.
Meet at the hall at 3:30 p.m. to cut quilt squares. Wear something green.
Wadena Whirlaways Square Dancers to host dance
WADENA—The Wadena Whirlaways Square Dancers will host a dance Thursday, March 14, at the VFW in Wadena.
Larry Fruetel is the caller. The theme is St. Patrick's/Irish night. Plus dancing begins at 7:30 p.m. and mainstream dancing at 8 p.m.
Brainerd Eagles Club breakfast set
The Brainerd Eagles Club breakfast will be 8:30 a.m. to noon Sunday, March 10, at 124 Front St., Brainerd, featuring the Eagles' special for $8.
The next breakfast will be April 7.
The Center's Morning Club to meet
The Center's Morning Club meets 9:30 a.m. every Wednesday at The Center, 803 Kingwood St., Brainerd.
The speaker will be Ed Menk, Brainerd mayor. He will be speaking on what he does and his vision for the city.
Hackensack American Legion Auxiliary to serve breakfast
HACKENSACK—Hackensack American Legion Auxiliary Unit 202 will serve breakfast from 8:30-11:30 a.m. March 17 at the Club.
Menu includes choice of biscuits and gravy with eggs or French toast with eggs and bacon. Both include juice and coffee for $6.
The proceeds go to support youth scholarships.
Washington High School Class of 1967 to meet for lunch
PILLAGER—The Washington High School Class of 1967 will meet for lunch 11:30 a.m. Friday, March 15, at KC's, 116 Cedar Ave., Pillager.
Pinetree Patchworkers meeting set Monday
BAXTER—The Pinetree Patchworkers Quilt Club will meet 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 11, at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 6190 Fairview Road, Baxter.
All levels of quilters are welcome. The program for the evening will be a surprise take-home project.
The business meeting will follow.
Gardeners' night out event set for Thursday
NISSWA—If you're a gardener wanting to talk to other gardeners or a new gardener wanting to learn more, come to the first Gardeners' Night Out event from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, March 14, at the Main Street Ale House Oxcart Room.
After a social time, a program on Starting Seeds will be presented at 7 p.m. by University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener JoAnn Weaver.
The free event is sponsored by the Nisswa Garden Club.
Future Gardeners' Night Outs will occur April 11 and May 9.

On Friday, March 15, corned beef and cabbage for $9 or Reubens and chips for $7 will be served from noon to 8 p.m. Walleye dinner for $11.50 will be served at 5 p.m.
On Saturday, March 16, corned beef and cabbage for $9 or Reubens and chips for $7 will be served from 11 a.m. until gone.

Senior dances will be 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, at the Motley Ten-Hi with music by Frank and Fran; 1-4 p.m. Wednesday at Waukenabo with music by Rambling Leroy and Jerry; 1-4 p.m. Friday at the Deerwood Legion with music by Jerry's Dance Band; and 1-4 p.m. March 16, at the Aitkin Legion with music jams.

The Brainerd Eagles will have a joint memorial service at 2 p.m. March 17.
