BAXTER—Class of 1966 will have lunch at 11:30 a.m. Monday, April 8, at Arrowwood Lodge, 6967 Lake Forest Road, Baxter.

194th Regiment to meet

The 194th Regiment meeting will be 10 a.m. Monday, April 8, at the Brainerd National Guard Armory.

A short meeting followed by set-up for the Bataan Memorial Service planned for 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Bataan Memorial Hall.

Wadena Whirlaways to dance

WADENA—The Wadena Whirlaways Square Dancers will host a dance Thursday, April 11, at the VFW in Wadena.

Tom Allen is the caller and the theme is Glitz/Glamour night.

Plus dancing begins at 7:30 p.m. and mainstream dancing at 8 p.m.

Alpha Chapter No. 23 OES meeting set

Alpha Chapter No. 23 OES will meet 7 p.m. Monday, April 8, at the Masonic Hall.

Supper will be 5:30 p.m. and treats will be served by Jennie Christensen.

Xi Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa to meet

The Xi Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa will meet 4:15 p.m. Monday, April 9, at Jean Collins' home.

The program is Suicide Crisis Prevention with Mary Mariana as the featured speaker on the topic.

Brainerd Elks Lodge Polish sausage feed

The public is invited to an all-you-can eat Polish sausage, sauerkraut, beans and bread feed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, at the Brainerd Elks Lodge, 215 South Ninth St., Brainerd.

Cost: $8.

Captain Robert Orr Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution meeting set

The Captain Robert Orr Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will meet 10 a.m. Saturday, April 13, at the Front Street Café in Brainerd.

The students will be reading winning essays as the program.

The Brainerd Eagles Club breakfast will be 8:30 a.m. to noon Sunday, April 7, at 124 Front St., Brainerd, featuring the Eagles' special for $8.

Brainerd Garden Club meeting planned

The Brainerd Garden Club will meet 1 p.m. Friday, April 12, at Northland Arboretum.

Program will be deer control presented by Eric Nelson of the Minnesota DNR.

Hostesses are Margarita Price and Jackie Froemming.

Bethel Cemetery annual meeting set

The Bethel Cemetery annual meeting will be 7 p.m. April 15, at the church.

Pine River-Backus BDA Scout Troop No. 73 annual pancake breakfast planned

The Pine River-Backus BSA Scout Troop No. 73 annual pancake breakfast will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 14 at the Pine River American Legion Post No. 613.

Cost: $8, adults; kids 4-10, $5; and infants 0-3, free.

This fundraising event is used to help offset the cost of attending summer camp for the individual scouts.

The breakfast includes plates of pancakes and sausage; along with coffee, milk or juice and a chance to meet and talk to local BSA Scouts, who will be serving the tables.

Gardeners' Night Out event canceled

NISSWA—The Gardeners' Night Out event scheduled for Thursday, April 11, at the Main Street Ale House in Nisswa, sponsored by the Nisswa Garden Club, has been canceled and will be rescheduled at a later date.

The next Gardeners' Night Out will be May 9 with a presentation by Tracy Schrock of Morning Glory Flowers.

Mother's Day Tea planned

DEERWOOD—The Deerwood Lakes Lions will have its annual Mother's Day Tea from noon to 2 p.m. May 11 at the Cascade Methodist Church in Deerwood.

Brainerd Legion upcoming events

The Auxiliary will have a fundraiser pie social starting at noon Sunday, April 7.

In addition, the Brainerd Chapter of the Legion Riders will help out by providing bars and cookies for the social. Funds raised will go to support Auxiliary programs for veterans.

The Legion Riders will meet 7 p.m. Monday, April 8.

The 40 et 8 will meet 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 9.

Bob Harting's barbecue rib dinner for $11.50 will be the special Friday, April 12.

Walleye is also available for $11.50. Serving begins at 5 p.m. There will also be a BMX fundraiser from 6-9 p.m. in the Zelinske Hall.

The Sixth District Legion Riders meeting will be 1 p.m. April 13.

Area senior dances

Area senior dances will be from 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, at the Motley Ten-Hi with music by Michael James; and from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday with music by Frank and Fran.
