Mike North, biologist with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, will talk about woodpecker habitat management and research needs in Minnesota at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the Northland Arboretum in Brainerd.

North is one of two forest habitat wildlife coordinators in the DNR. He has been with the DNR for 21 years in various roles.

This program is sponsored by the Brainerd Lakes Area Audubon Society and is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
