Faith in Action information session and new volunteer training in Outing

Neighborly volunteers are needed to help seniors, the disabled, and people in need throughout Cass County with transportation, home meal delivery, visiting and respite, light homemaking, basic home repair, and chores including ramp building, through Faith in Action for Cass County’s coordinated volunteer services.

For those who want to learn more there will be an information session about Faith in Action for Cass County 9 a.m. Sept. 11 at the Crooked Lake Town Hall, 6300 Woods Bay Drive NE, Outing. There will be free coffee and pastries and a short presentation with time for questions and discussion.

Those who would like to volunteer with Faith in Action can stay for new volunteer training from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 11 at the Crooked Lake Town Hall.

Volunteers choose how, when and how often they want to help. Volunteers must complete an application process including the two-hour training and a background check. Volunteers receive liability insurance, service coordination, ongoing training, recognition and mileage reimbursement.

With Faith in Action, there is a place for everyone’s time and talents -- individuals, couples and families can sign up. To schedule a volunteer training call 218-675-5435 or email cassfia@uslink.net.
