After mediation in federal court, Alexa Oxley Christianson, a former employee in the county attorney's office has settled all claims against the county. Christianson, who had accused former county attorney Jack Graham of harassment, will receive $150,000 and a position in the court administrator's office.

(Photo) Linda Eder was crowned the 1979 Miss Brainerd at the pageant sponsored by the Brainerd Jaycees. Eder was earlier named winner of the evening gown and talent competitions, and co-winner of the interview competition. For her talent she sang a song that she had composed herself.

Probate Judge L.B. Kinder's auto was stolen over a week ago, but the judge didn't even know it. Kinder had the car greased, then put it in his garage and locked it. Sometime in the interim thieves stole it and drove it to Columbia Heights, where it was just discovered.

Sgt. Arthur Brousseau of St. Mathias, with a sister living there, is home after 17 months with the Army's famed Rainbow Division. He spent nine of those months on the front lines, with five months in the trenches and four in open combat. He was often without water as Germans blew up wells.
