Lakewood foundation to host virtual dine-in dinner auction

Lakewood Health System Foundation will livestream its annual event aimed at helping people make a delicious meal at home. Proceeds support efforts to combat hunger for families and older residents.

STAPLES — The Lakewood Health System Foundation will host its annual dinner auction virtually this year.

The “Dine-In Auction” will take place via livestream at 7 p.m. May 7. Proceeds will go to support food initiatives through Lakewood Engage, which combats hunger for local families and seniors.

Tickets include access to the event, as well as ingredients, recipe card and video instructions from a local chef to make and enjoy a delicious meal from the comfort of home.

The meal kit includes bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin, red potatoes, baby carrots and Braeburn apples, fresh ‘Sota Grown kale, seasoning packet, locally produced honey and key lime dessert.

Tickets are $75 for dinner for one, $100 for dinner for two and $125 for dinner for four. Wine or beer can be purchased in addition to the meal. Tax deductions apply to a portion of the table purchase.
