MMFCU Evolves with a Focus on Service & Technology

Mid Minnesota Federal Credit Union (MMFCU) is excited to share the evolution of our staff structure to be service and technology focused for continued success into the future.

MMFCU has been serving member owners for 65 years with a focus on returning profits to members in the form of lower interest rates, higher dividends, additional technology, and growth in services. President/CEO Chuck Albrecht explains, “This evolving structure is aimed at improving member experience whether you are in the drive-up, talking to us on the phone or online to manage your money. I am especially proud that we have identified talented individuals within our organization to fill many of these roles, this shows our dedication to career development of our excellent staff.”

Teams working directly with members evolved in the following ways to ensure a consistent experience for our member owners no matter how they connect with MMFCU.

Angela Pulak joined MMFCU five years ago as a teller and has grown in her responsibilities taking her experience serving members directly to a support role as Accounting Services Representative II. She is part of a team that ensures transaction data each day reconciles with the members accounts and credit union financials.

Ashley Gabrick accepted the Teller Services Supervisor position in Baxter. Our teller team serves our members by completing on average 50,000 transactions per month across 11 MMFCU offices. Ashley started serving our members in February 2013 as a teller and has grown in responsibility since that time.

Danielle Addison was promoted to Regional Manager serving our Ada, Alexandria, Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls, Pequot Lakes, and Staples teams, members and communities. Danielle began serving members at MMFCU in 2005 in roles that included over the phone and in person as well as most recently as the Brainerd Branch Manager.

Lura Hanson brings 19 years of experience as a teller and supervisor to the training team as the Branch Support Supervisor & Systems Training Specialist. Lura will be responsible for training new team members as well as provide on the job training for new processes or areas needing review.

Michelle Boser is now the Systems Testing and Development Specialist reflecting a stronger focus on staff support and testing systems from the perspective of members and those who directly serve them. Michelle has been at the credit union for more than 22 years.

Michelle Kuklok became the Director of Mortgage Services, leading the continued growth of the credit union’s mortgage services and teams. Michelle brought more than 20 years of knowledge and expertise in the mortgage industry to MMFCU.

Theresa Barnett accepted a leadership role as the Electronic Funds Transfer/Card Services Supervisor directing the day-to-day responsibilities of this experienced team who reviews transactions for fraud, protecting our members’ money and identity, as well as responding to member concerns. Theresa has been a part of MMFCU supporting these critical functions for 20 years.

Tiffany Hirschey-Tuma transferred to a newly created role as Director of Operations with a primary focus on providing superior support to staff directly serving members across MMFCU. Tiffany has been a part of MMFCU for 21 years, her experience serving members directly will allow for an excellent connection between supporting our staff and ensuring a consistent member experience.

Our Technology Team serves a critical role at MMFCU, both supporting infrastructure behind the scenes and easing its use for our member owners and staff. Staff structure for this ever-evolving area resulted in the following:

Angie Ziegler will transition from serving members as a teller in Staples for the past four years to a Computer Support Specialist. Angie will be able to apply the knowledge she is gaining from a degree in Computer Information Technology to support coworkers at MMFCU.

Chris Sundeen’s role has evolved to Systems Analyst making the systems and programs work together behind the scenes from a programming and reporting standpoint. Chris has been a part of MMFCU for 7 years.

Dusti Borg, who has been at MMFCU for more than 21 years, transitioned to Director of Online Services to oversee online banking, mobile app, Savvy Money credit score monitoring, and Bill Pay to ensure a consistent member experience in these online services.

Lori Berg will be focusing her 13 years of expertise into a Business Analyst role. She will be responsible for managing multiple projects related to testing and implementing new features, services, systems, and upgrades improving their function from a staff and member perspective.

Mid Minnesota Federal Credit Union is a member owned financial cooperative serving central Minnesota.
