MISSION TOWNSHIP -- The Mission Fire Department will host its annual Mission Fire Fair fundraiser 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 20, at Mission Park.
Activities include a silent auction, raffle, kids games, food, minnow races, fire truck and medical helicopter tours, prizes and a chicken poopin' contest.
Raffle tickets are available for purchase from any Mission firefighter. Cost is $5 each. Must be 18 to enter or win a prize but need not be present to win.
Raffle ticket prizes include a log bed, log swing, $200 shopping spree from Reed's Market in Crosslake, kayak and paddle, Yeti cooler, paddleboard, Coach purse and more.
All donations will be used to buy structural firefighting and fire suppression tools for the fire department. In the past, a Lucas CPR device, personnel protective equipment, wildland gear, first responder training materials and new fire trucks have been purchased.
