Radomski to speak at Arboretum

BAXTER--Paul Radomski of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources will speak at 7 p.m., April 25, at the Northland Arboretum, 14250 Conservation Drive, Baxter.

BAXTER-Paul Radomski of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources will speak at 7 p.m., April 25, at the Northland Arboretum, 14250 Conservation Drive, Baxter.

Radomski is a scientist with the Minnesota DNR. He currently serves as Minnesota's lead scientific expert on lakeshore habitat management issues. He will talk about the challenges and opportunities to replace lead fishing tackle and lead hunting ammo with non-toxic alternatives. He will also discuss problems associated with lead fishing tackle and reveal the negative consequences of lead fishing tackle on Minnesota's loon population and share opportunities to preserve our role as conservationists and how to make the transition to alternatives that do not poison our children and wildlife.

This program is sponsored by the Brainerd Lakes Area Audubon Society and is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
