Red Cross lists upcoming blood donation opportunities

The American Red Cross urged eligible donors to be the lifeline for patients in need this holiday season by making an appointment to give blood.

Those who come out to give through Dec. 18 will receive a $5 Amazon.com Gift Card via email, courtesy of Suburban Propane. Additionally, those who come to give Nov. 27-30 will receive an exclusive long-sleeved T-shirt, while supplies last.

Upcoming local blood donation opportunities

  • Brainerd: 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, Central Lakes College, 501 W. College Drive.

  • Crosslake: Noon-6 p.m. Nov. 21, Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 35208 County Road 37.

  • Nisswa: 2-7 p.m. Nov. 21, and 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, American Legion, 25807 Main St.

  • Swanville: 12:30-6:30 p.m. Nov. 21, Swanville High School, Sixth and DeGraffe.

  • Deerwood: Noon-6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, Deerwood Auditorium, 27 E. Forest Road.

  • Upsala: 2-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 27, Upsala High School, 415 N. Main St.

  • Bertha: Noon-5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, New Life Church of God, 401 Main St. W.

  • Ironton: Noon-6 p.m. Dec. 2, American Legion, 232 Fourth St.

  • Baxter: 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Dec. 3, FitQuest Athletic Club, 15840 Audubon Way.

  • Pierz: 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 3, Pierz Healy High School, 112 Kamnic St.

  • Pequot Lakes: Noon-6 p.m. Dec. 4, Pequot Lakes High School, 30805 Olson St.

  • Brainerd: Noon-6 p.m. Dec. 5, First Lutheran Church, 424 S. Eighth St.

  • Fort Ripley: Noon-6 p.m. Dec. 13, St. Mathias Catholic Church, 4529 County Road 121.

Download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit RedCrossBlood.org , call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or enable the Blood Donor Skill on any Alexa Echo device to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in.
