In solidarity with the Zero Hour Youth Climate March on Washington, D.C. Saturday, July 21, Brainerd Lakers United for the Environment will have a vigil the same day from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the intersection of Sixth and Washington Streets, Brainerd, near the historic Brainerd water tower.
Signs are available for vigil participants or vigil participants can bring signs.
The Brainerd Lakers United for the Environment or BLUE vigil supports the goals of the Zero Hour Youth Climate March on Washington, D.C. The Zero Hour Youth Climate March will advocate for concrete solutions to stop climate change, call on elected officials and candidates to renounce campaign contributions from fossil fuels companies and demand elected officials pass legislation to curb climate change.
Zero Hour is a youth-led organization supporting the right to a clean, safe, and healthy environment.
