■ Women’s Club to meet

CROSBY - At 1 p.m. Monday the Cuyuna Range Women’s Club will meet at the Jessie F. Hallett Memorial Library in Crosby. The meeting will begin with special music by C-I High School band students.

Following the music, there will be a presentation given by Ruth Anderson, of Aitkin, who is a renowned sculptor.

Following the program, a short business meeting, chaired by President Myrna Nelson, will take place. Refreshments will be served by the committee of Shirley Bengtson, Kaye Gillman and Myrna Nelson.

■ Brainerd Legion events

The Post Executive Board and the Auxiliary membership will meet at 7 p.m. Monday.

There will be a MDAA meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The Elks Lodge will meet from noon to 3:30 p.m. April 12 in the Zelinske Room.

Widowed Friends will meet 11 a.m. Monday at Bonanza.

■ Sons of Norway

Sons of Norway will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd. Program: Foreign Exchange Students from Norway will share their experiences living and going to school in the Brainerd lakes area. They will also share information about their homeland and will answer questions.

■ Wadena Whirlaways

WADENA - The Wadena Whirlaways are having a square dance at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Wadena VFW. Roger McNeil will be the caller and the theme is Easter pastels. There will be a drawing for a ham.

■ Jack’s and Jill’s Bingo

BNSF Jack’s and Jill’s Bingo will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Legion.

■ BNSF Jack’s and Jill’s spring meeting

BNSF Jack’s and Jill’s spring meeting will be Friday at the Eagles. Those attending can eat from 5-7 p.m. with the meeting to follow at 7 p.m.

■ Alley Rally event

BAXTER - Bowlers, sponsors and volunteers are invited to join Good Samaritan Society for a night of food, fun and prizes as they kick off Good Samaritan Bowl XI with an Alley Rally. The Alley Rally event is from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Monday at Mills Ford in Baxter.

Bowlers and teams are invited to stop by and pick up their pledge packets for the upcoming May 4-5 Good Samaritan Bowl XI. Volunteers will have an opportunity to sign up to help at the event and sponsors are welcome to come and greet participants. Complimentary pizza, beverages and entertainment will be provided. Games, door prizes and a sample of this year’s Bowling Pin Art will be on display for all to enjoy.

pancake breakfast

The Pine River-Backus (PR-B) Boy Scout Troop 73 Annual pancake breakfast will be 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 13 at Pine River American Post No. 613. Cost: Adults, $5; children, 4-10, $3; children, 0-3, free. This fundraising event is used to help offset the cost to the Scouts for attending summer camp.

■ Brainerd Elks breakfast

Brainerd Elks Lodge No. 615 will serve breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday at 215 South Ninth St., Brainerd. Order from the menu. All proceeds go to support Elks programs.

■ Brainerd Elks Polish sausage feed

Public is invited to an all-you-can eat polish sausage lunch including three freshly baked Artisan breads plus baked beans and sauerkraut from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Brainerd Elks Lodge located at 215 South Ninth St., Brainerd. Cost: $8. This will be the last feed of the season.

Lake Hubert Community Grange is hosting a meeting with Michael Martin, National Grange membership attending at 4 p.m. Thursday with a potluck supper. support group

The April meeting of the Breast Cancer Survivor Support Group will meet 11:30 a.m. Friday at Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in the Joseph Room. Go through the cafeteria to the meeting rooms. All breast cancer survivors are welcome as well as caregivers. Lunch is available for purchase in the River Room Cafeteria. Post and Auxiliary will hold its regular meetings at the Home Post at 7 p.m. Tuesday and both will hold election of officers for the coming year.

The 30-year class reunion for the Brainerd High School class of 1984 will be 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. Aug. 23. There will be a casual backyard BBQ at The Lodge, 6967 Lake Forest Rd., Baxter.
