Backus Legion Auxiliary breakfast planned

BACKUS — The Backus American Legion Auxiliary will be serving its monthly breakfast Sunday, Aug. 8, from 7:30-11:30 a.m.

It includes fried or scrambled eggs, pancakes or French toast, sausage and bacon, juice, water and coffee for $10 a plate and $5 for children under 7.

Proceeds go to community, education and veterans programs, active duty military holiday gifts and other auxiliary charitable projects.

Senior dance planned

A senior dance will be 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, at Waukenabo Town Hall with music by Jerry B.

Captain Robert Orr Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution to meet

The Captain Robert Orr Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will meet 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, at the library at Camp Ripley to tour the Green Prairie Cemetery.

The library is adjacent to the museum parking lot. Participants will need to show the guard an ID at the main entrance. The guard will direct you to the library.

Hackensack American Legion breakfast planned for Aug. 15

HACKENSACK — Hackensack American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 202 will serve breakfast from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Aug. 15, at the Club.

Menu includes biscuits and gravy and eggs or eggs, bacon, toast and fruit cup. Both include juice and coffee for $7.

The proceeds go to support youths scholarships.
