■ Four Nisswa Lions named Melvin Jones Fellows

NISSWA - At the Nisswa Lions Christmas party Robyn Schaefer, Ron Hustvedt, Karen Baloun and Ben Baloun of Nisswa were named Melvin Jones Fellows by Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) in recognition of their commitment to serving the world community.

Named for the founder of Lions Clubs International, Melvin Jones, the fellowship is the foundation’s highest honor. It is a recognition of commitment to humanitarian service.

All four are members of the Nisswa Lions Club. Each received a finely crafted plaque and lapel pin acknowledging their dedication to the foundation’s humanitarian goals. As Melvin Jones Fellows, they become a part of the growing network of individuals who are committed to improving the quality of life for people locally and in communities around the world.

Nisswa Lions President Duane Blanck presented the Awards.
