Ehrhardt and Goodwin are charter members of the group. The chapter was organized in 1977. At one time, there was a chapter named Samuel Huntington, but it disbanded some years before.

Brainerd Garden Club meeting planned

The Brainerd Garden Club will meet 1 p.m. Friday at the Northland Arboretum with JoAnn Weaver, University of Minnesota Extension Crow Wing County Master Gardener, speaking on Shakespeare's Garden.

Hostess is Jackie Burkey.

Alpha Chapter No. 23 Eastern Star to meet

Alpha Chapter No. 23 Eastern Star will meet 2 p.m. Monday, with dinner served at the Masonic Hall at 1 p.m. by Arlene Steele.

Formal dress with long johns and sweaters advised.

Crosslake Area Garden Club meeting set

CROSSLAKE-The Crosslake Area Garden Club will meet 1 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Crosslake Community Center.

Lunch for the class of 1966 will be 11 a.m. Monday at Yesterday's Gone.

Ruby's Pantry Pop-Up Pantry set for Tuesday

Ruby's Pantry Pop-Up Pantry is Tuesday at the National Guard Armory, 1115 Wright St, Brainerd. Food distribution begins at 11 a.m. and ends at 12:30 p.m.

Ruby's Pantry is a non-profit food ministry serving our community on the second Tuesday of the month. There are no income guidelines to participate; Ruby's Pantry is for everyone who eats. For a $20 cash donation, participants will receive a "share" with up to $120 of groceries. There is no limit on how many shares that can be purchased at this time. The variety and amount of food varies each month. Participants should bring containers to put their food in.

Brainerd Elks Lodge breakfast set for Sunday

Public is invited to an all-you-can eat Polish sausage, sauerkraut, beans and bread feed from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Brainerd Elks Lodge, 215 South Ninth St., Brainerd.

The Post Executive Board, the Legion Riders and Local 242 will meet 7 p.m. Monday.

The 40 et 8 will meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday.

MDAA will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The special dinner for Friday will be Bob Harting's BBQ ribs for $11. Walleye dinner is also available for $11. Serving begins at 5 p.m.

Pinetree Patchworkers Quilt Club to meet

BAXTER-The Pinetree Patchworkers Quilt Club will meet 6:30 p.m. Monday at the Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 6190 Fairview Road, Baxter.

The January program will be presented by Lisa Kajer and Mary Noska from Staples. They are the driving force behind the Barn Quilt Project of Todd County. Armed with a grant from the Blandin Foundation, they researched barn quilts and then motivated the community to get these wonderful quilts up on barns, homes and businesses across the county. The business meeting will follow the program with Show and Tell.

VFW Post and Auxiliary to meet

VFW Post and Auxiliary will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Home Post.

Class of 1952 will meet noon Tuesday at Front Street Cafe.

Retired Firepeople will meet 9 a.m. Wednesday for breakfast at Front Street Cafe.

Xi Chapter of ADK meeting planned

The Xi Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa will meet 4:15 p.m. Monday at the Lakes Area Music Festival office, 715 Laurel St., Brainerd.

Scott Lykins, Artistic Director of LAMF, will be the featured speaker. The altruistic project this month is letters to soldiers. Bring written letters to the meeting, if possible, using guidelines that were sent in an email communication.

Widowed Friends to meet

Widowed Friends will meet 11 a.m. Monday at Sawmill Inn.\

Senior dances announced

Senior dances will be from 1-4 p.m. Tuesday at the Motley Ten-Hi with music by Frank and Fran; from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday at Waukenabo with music by Jerry's Dance Band; and from 1-4 p.m. Jan. 13 at the Aitkin Legion.

WHS class of 1955 meeting planned

The Washington High School class of 1955, spouses and friends will meet for lunch 11 a.m. Monday at Northwind Grille.
