Parkinson’s Disease support group meeting
BAXTER — The Brainerd Lakes Area Parkinson’s Disease Support Group will meet at 1 p.m. Aug. 5 at Lord of Life Church, 6190 Fairview Road, Baxter.

Backus dance rescheduled to July 25
BACKUS — Monthly Sunday dances return to the Backus American Legion July 25, when Frankie Lamb’s Frankly Country Band appears from 2-5 p.m. The original starting date of July 18 was postponed due to a scheduling conflict.
Playing classic country, pop, old time and swing, the band makes its first appearance of the summer that Sunday and then will return for afternoon dances Aug. 15, during the Backus Corn Fest weekend, Sept. 19 and Oct. 17 and New Year’s Eve.
