Legion breakfast buffet set for Sunday
On Sunday, July 25, the Brainerd American Legion will host a breakfast buffet from 8 a.m. to noon. Cost for adults is $10. Cost for children is $5.
Benefit chicken dinner planned
BACKUS — The Cass County Fur and Feathers 4-H Club will be serving a benefit chicken dinner following the Sunday, July 25, dance at the Backus American Legion.
The dinner, chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, a vegetable, dinner roll and dessert for $10 a plate, will follow music by Frankie Lamb’s Frankly County band, playing from 2-5 p.m.
Class of 1971 50th reunion set for Sept. 11
The Class of 1971 is having its 50th class reunion Sept. 11 at the Dennis Drummond Wine Co.

Pequot Lakes all-class reunion set for Aug. 7-8
PEQUOT LAKES — The Pequot Lakes All-Class Reunion will be the weekend of Aug. 7-8. Individual classes have reunions on Saturday followed by an informal gathering at the Legion Club in Pequot. There is also a street dance in Pequot Saturday night.
On Aug. 8, all classes will meet at the high school at 12:30 p.m. for registration and socializing, followed by a brief business meeting and potluck luncheon.
Attendees are asked to bring salads, hot dishes and desserts. All utensils are furnished along with meat, cheese, buns and beverages.
The classes of 1970 and 1971 will be honored at this year's reunion. All former students, graduates and teachers are invited to attend.

Peach sale tentatively scheduled for Aug. 4
The Nisswa Lions Club annual Colorado peach sale is tentatively set for Aug. 4 at the Nisswa Fire Hall with times to be announced on the Nisswa Lions Club Facebook page.
It will be first come, first served and cash or check only for $35/lug.
