CJ Chapter of PEO will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 15.

Breakfast planned at the Eagles Club

Breakfast will be served from 8:30 a.m. to noon Sunday, June 13, at 124 Front St., Brainerd, and will feature the Eagles’ special for $8.

Washington High School class of 1954 to meet

BAXTER — The Washington High School class of 1954 will meet 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, at Grizzly’s.

Disabled American Veterans to meet Thursday

The monthly meeting for the Disabled American Veterans Crow Wing County Chapter No. 22 will be 7 p.m. Thursday, June 17, at the Brainerd VFW club.


Chapter 22 officers meeting will begin at 6 p.m.

Nisswa Women’s Club announces first in-person meeting after 15 months

NISSWA — Nisswa Women’s Club will have its first in-person meeting at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 17, on the patio at Northland Arboretum, after having virtual meetings for 15 months.

Judd Brink, owner and guide of Minnesota Backyard Birds, will be the guest speaker. Brink’s topic is “Birdscaping Your Yard to Attract Your Feathered Friends.”

Lois Jensen will offer the inspiration and president Karen DeVries will lead a short business meeting. A box lunch will be served.

Lakes Prostate Cancer Fund support group to meet Tuesday

The Lakes Prostate Cancer Fund support group will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, at the Legacy Golf Club Clubhouse.

The Lakes Prostate Cancer Fund is a part of Essentia Health and the mission is to improve public awareness of prostate cancer, provide non-medical funding for current prostate cancer patients and provide support group services. The support group is open to all and sanitation

precautions will be followed.

CROSSLAKE — The Crosslake Garden Club will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, at the Crosslake Community Center.

JoAnn Weaver will be the speaker sharing "How to Design a Beautiful Entry Garden."

Hackensack American Legion Auxiliary breakfast set for June 20

HACKENSACK — Hackensack American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 202 will serve breakfast from 8:30-11:30 a.m. June 20 at the club.

Menu includes a choice of pancakes, bacon and eggs or biscuits and gravy with eggs. Both include juice and coffee for $7.


The proceeds go to support youths scholarships.

Senior dances

Senior dances will be 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, at the Brainerd Eagles Club with music by Jerry B.; and from noon to 3 p.m. Friday, June 18, at the Deerwood Legion with music by Andy.
