Backus Legion Auxiliary breakfast set

BACKUS — The Backus American Legion Auxiliary will serve its monthly breakfast 7:30-11 a.m. June 13.

It includes fried or scrambled eggs, pancakes or French toast, sausage and bacon, juice, water and coffee for $8 a plate and $4 for children under 7.

Proceeds go to community, education and veterans’ programs, active duty military holiday gifts, and other auxiliary charitable projects.

The Captain Robert Orr Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 12, at the Gull Lake Recreational Area at the shelter on the top of the hill, 10867 East Gull Lake Road, Brainerd.

The program will concern American history presented by Nancy Holm with Faye Leach as hostess.
