Dan Determan has been a reporter for the Echo Journal since 2014, primarily covering sports at Pequot Lakes and Pine River-Backus.

He also covers general and government stories in the City of Breezy Point and the Pequot Lakes School District.

He grew up in Browerville, Minnesota, and graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a degree in history and a minor in mass communication.

Prior to joining the Echo Journal, he spent two years as sports editor for the West Fargo Pioneer.
