We hope anglers have good luck this opening weekend of fishing. We hope boaters have fun on our lakes and rivers from now into the fall. For everyone, we hope they have a safe year on the water.
If we can work together to acknowledge and address the problem of domestic violence, there will be fewer incidents that require officers to put their lives on the line.
Residents deserve public answers from the agency about spotty mail delivery the past several months.
Not only is voting one of our most cherished, fundamental rights, it also is one of the best ways in which we can collectively make our voices heard on the direction we’d like to see the country go.

We commend the Brainerd City Council for approving a Brainerd Planning Commission recommendation of an interim use permit to allow the warming shelter on South Seventh Street to operate through June 30, 2025.
Hopefully the Brainerd School District can work out participation agreements with the affected schools regarding sports and other activities.
