PEQUOT LAKES - Lakes Area Music Festival musicians will take the stage at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Pequot Lakes High School theater to kick off this year's Greater Lakes Area Performing Arts season.

This concert will feature clarinetist Gregory Williams along with colleagues from the Minnesota Orchestra, including violinists Jonathan Magness and Cecilia Belcher and violist Sam Bergman, as well as LAMF executive and artistic director and cellist Scott Lykins. The ensemble will perform quintets for clarinet and string quartet by Wolgang Amadeus Mozart and Johannes Brahms.

Tickets for the concert titled "Mozart and Brahms - Wind and Strings Quintet" are available through the Pequot Lakes Community Education office at 218-568-9200. Tickets can be purchased at the door on the day of the concert. Ticket sales at the door begin one hour before the concert. Tickets are $14 for adults, $12 for seniors age 60 and over and $10 for youth age 18 and under. Seating for the concert is general seating.

GLAPA season ticket holders have reserved seats for the concert.

The concert is sponsored by Echo Publishing and Printing, Inc. Echo Publishing staff will be at the concert to greet patrons. Building community partnerships is a goal of the Greater Lakes Area Performing Arts board.
