Pedestrian struck, killed by vehicle in Baxter

Black & White exhibit opens at Crossing Arts gallery

The Crossing Arts Alliance's first exhibition of 2019 is 'Black & White'.

The public is invited to attend the opening reception of The Crossing Arts Alliance's exhibition, "Black & White," after second Saturday events from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12.

Freewill offerings will be accepted at the door. Light refreshments, in a black and white theme, will be served.

To work only in black and white is a challenge for the artist. It forces them to showcase their skills in form, texture, contrast, light and shape in a monochromatic fashion. Only black, white and shades of gray have been used in the artwork on display to express the artist's vision. Attend to see this selection of interesting works that exemplify the visual power of this limited palette and that offer new and unique views.

Featured artists in this exhibition include: Duane Barnhart, Vincent DeZutti, William Grange, Elayna Hallbeck, Paula Jensen, Shalene Jensvold, Charlie Johnson, Molly Mae Krautkremer, Sonja Larsen, Mark Moser, Martin Nelson, Karla Overland, Holly Rapoport, Victor Sanchez, Ruby Thompson, Michael Vogt and Mike Weatherly.

This exhibition will be on display through Feb. 2.
