“Retrospective I,” a new photo exhibit on display until Dec. 1 in the lobby of the John Chalberg Theatre, focuses on the work of over 45 local actors who have appeared in 19 different productions that have graced the Brainerd Community Theatre stage over the past five years.

Brainerd Community Theatre Director Patrick Spradlin collaborated with local photographer John Erickson, a retired attorney, over the past several years to chronicle the work that has appeared on BCT stages.

“Costume Party” is a fun, weird and spooky exhibition featuring the artwork of Jim Cook, Gregory Dirr, Martin Nelson, Tony Powers and Chase Vreeland, and focused on the idea of a Halloween party.

From acrylic and mixed media pieces, the artworks feature collage, digital illustrations and scratchboard art to keep visitors engaged and in the Halloween spirit. The exhibit opens Tuesday, Oct. 19, and runs through Oct. 30.

The Front Gallery is showcasing art by Charles Kapsner, Michele Feriancek, Lois Rhomberg and Armando Gutiérrez G. The pieces include animals, flowers, and the military, amongst other things. The exhibit will be shown through Nov. 20.

The Central Minnesota Watercolorists will be displayed in the Main Gallery until Oct. 30 and will showcase 90 pieces of art by 19 different artists.
