Mann Theatres announced it will temporarily close all of its eight locations, including the Lakes 12 Theatre in Baxter.
Minnesota health officials have asked movie theaters to close in a continuing effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In accordance with these directives, all Mann Theatres locations will be closed effective Friday, Nov. 20, until further notice.
“This news is devastating. To our customers, colleagues and friends, we are grateful for your continued support, and we look forward to serving you again soon,” Mann Theatres CEO Stephen Mann said in an email to patrons.
All shows have been canceled. If someone has purchased their tickets directly from Mann Theatres, their tickets will be honored for a later screening.
“We will continue to update you with respect to re-opening via Mann Theatres’ website and on social media platforms,” Mann said.
The Lakes 12 Theatre reopened in June when it was permitted to by the state, with eight of its 12 auditoriums operating; it had closed its doors because of the coronavirus pandemic.
