The Minnesota duo Pushing Chain will make its area debut on the Grassroots Concerts stage in Nisswa at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at the Live Well Night Club and Coffee Bar, 5459 County Road 18 (next to Nisswa School).
Formed in 2012, Pushing Chain is Boyd Blomberg on guitar and vocals and Adam Moe on fiddle and vocals. The duo recently celebrated 20 years of making music together, as well as the release of their new album, "Sorrows Always Swim."
Playing about 200 shows every year, Blomberg and Moe have been doing what they can to spread their brand of roots music far and wide in venues big and small across the United States and Canada.
Strong songwriting, tight harmonies, and a gonzo approach have been winning fans for Pushing Chain across the Midwest and beyond.
"We believe in performing songs we've never played together, and jamming with people we've just met," the pair said in their website biography.
Available for purchase at the concert will be "Sorrows Always Swim," featuring their original folky-tonk backed by players in Austin, Texas.
