The Jenkins mayor said he’s running for the board because he believes Crow Wing County is a great place to live, raise a family, have a business and enjoy the area’s phenomenal natural resources.
Only Mayor Jon Lubke and council members Donna Stricker and Andrew Rudlang were present, not meeting the minimum 4/5 vote to approve a summary publication.
The council used an event to be held at Shiners Bar to create a model for city event permits going forward. The council approved the permit for Shiners Bar, along with a $50 permit fee.
Nate Sauvageau, of Shiners - a bar and dining establishment that recently opened near Veterans Park in Jenkins - approached the city council for recommendations on a “Runaway Retreat” event based out of his business Aug. 22 and 23.
